Why I Choose To Use Natural Skin Care

Since I was young I have always had trouble with my skin whether it is eczema or acne. I have also always suffered from very sensitive skin and I have struggled to find the right skincare for me. Skin care is a very personal choice as everyone’s skin is different but something I think everyone should try to look for in their skin care is products that are natural and cruelty free.

I choose natural skincare because up to 60 percent of what we put on our skin is absorbed by our body. If you are using skin care full of harmful, artificial ingredients it can’t be doing much for your skin or your body. Some chemicals remain stored in the body for several months or even years before they are completely eliminated.

Harmful chemicals and ingredients also cause huge problems for the environment as every product we use eventually ends up in the soil and waterways where it can further impact on micro-organisms and aquatic life. These are all things in our day-to-day life we don’t think about. But by making a simple informed change you can help protect and preserve animals and their environment.I use Liz Earle skin care which is botanical, suitable for vegetarians and is cruelty free. Liz Earle has a huge range of amazing natural products; they have something for every skin type and age. They also have amazing offers on their products if you order online.

Firstly let’s talk makeup removers. I use the Liz Earle cleanse and polish. You can use it all over the face and I also use it to take off eye makeup as well. It doesn’t have a heavy fragrance but smells sweet and fresh which I really like. Its naturally active ingredients are rosemary, chamomile, cocoa butter and eucalyptus essential oil. The consistency is silky smooth and rich and very gentle on the face. It takes off makeup very well and I use a bamboo or muslin cloth with it too.

After using the cleanse and polish I use a cotton pad with some of the Liz Earle tonic water to make sure all my makeup is off my face. This is one of my favourite scents as it is floral and fresh. When I use it my face feel so clean and refreshed. They use lavender and sweet orange which are mood boosting ingredients; also the tonic water is alcohol free.

I can’t live without their skin repair moisturiser. I use the normal to combination type. It is one of the best moisturisers I have used. It feel so light on the face however is very rich at the same time, it contains avocado oil and the natural antioxidant beta-carotene and vitamin E which replace lost moisture and helps protect your skin. All of their products have ingredients which protect and restore your skin.

Finally I have to mention there Deep Cleansing Mask which has been a life saver for me during bad acne break outs. I use this about once a month or when needed. I will be honest the smell isn’t to my liking but I over look that because of how well it works. It contains the miracle ingredients green clay, manuka honey, propolis and rose scented geranium. The green clay helps regulate oiliness and draws out impurities, which leaves the skin balanced and calm. The mask for me has helped reduce redness of inflamed acne; I use this mask right before I go to bed and when I wake up my skin has calmed down so much. It comes with an exfoliating sponge but I sometimes I use a muslin cloth to take it off as the sponge is a bit too rough for my sensitive skin especially during a break out.

I know it is a long and wordy post but I really wanted to share the benefits of making the change to natural skin care. I have seen a real improvement to my skin since using Liz Earle. There is a lot of information out there on its benefits and once you start there is really no turning back as it doesn’t make sense to.
Remember when trying new skin care product to allergy test yourself, especially if you have sensitive skin or any allergies.

I’ve recently purchases the Liz Earle pack and I am dying to start using it but I like to use my current products up before I start to use any new products. Can’t wait to try it though as my skin is in need of treatment from some natural skincare products!
