Summer Weekend Recap

This weekend has been one of my favourites for a long while, the weather was beautiful and we had some nice family time. On Saturday we went strawberry picking, there were so many strawberries we filled 2 pots in less than 10 minutes!! There is something so satisfying about picking your own fruit, it is a great activity for families with young kids to do to understand how food is grown and where it comes from.

They also had raspberry bushes, however we had missed the season for raspberries so there weren’t many there. They also had plum trees, apple trees and blackberry bushes.
The tea rooms were so cute and the food was amazing. Everything was sourced from quality suppliers or homemade!

The courtyard was so pretty with hens roaming around. A perfect place to enjoy a glass of homemade apple juice on a summer’s day. It was the perfect place to spend a Saturday in the sun. I definitely recommend finding a good fruit picking farm near you and spending the day there.

SUNDAY

On Sunday we didn’t really do much we gardened and then ended the day with a beautiful walk with the dog, watching the sun set. It was such an amazing evening – the sky was so vibrant with pink and purple tones. Sometimes some of the simple weekends are the best. I love spending time with my family whether with us all in the kitchen cooking or out on a walk. Doing something you all have in common makes spending time with each other even better.

I hope you enjoyed my summer weekend recap. Be sure to comment if you enjoyed this post and want me to do more posts like this.
SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!!! : )
