My favourite is the house shape (it seems that at the moment I have a small obbsession with houses.. !! ) The clay recipe is quick and doesn’t need to be baked for hours like salt dough.
1 cup Bicarbonate Of Soda
1/2 cup Corn Flour
Place all your of ingredients into a pan on a medium heat and stir very well to get rid of all the lumps. Bubbles will start to form and it will begin to thicken. It happens very quickly once the bubbles form. Take it off the heat when it looks like mashed potato (I know it sound weird but trust me it will make sense when you see it). Leave to cool with a damp tea towel over it. Once cool you can now start using the dough. The more you work it the smoother it is. Use corn flour on your surface if it feels like it might stick and then you can roll it out.Continue Reading
